The location is unbeatable, adjacent to a natural park and the ancient cathedral. the building, formerly a religious school for nuns, is interesting with an amazing church and cloister. - the room was good-sized, cosy, and had a stunning view of the ancient cathedral. - the bed was comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive.

Wonderful staff! Extremely hospitable management! Simply decorated and very clean and friendly. Great facilities. Can't praise it enough! A great experience!

Pity that more of the character of the monastery hadn't been retained in the refurbishment and transition to a hotel. Could be improved with some more decoration and some interesting pieces of art/furniture etc.

Couldn't stay longer

Room was comfortable and clean with a well appointed bathroom. Hotel located in a quiet area on the edge of town - next to a church with bells but they were only rung very briefly in the morning! The restaurant for breakfast and evening meals was pleasant and the food good with a good choice.

Reception is not manned all day. There were telephone numbers to ring posted on the door when we arrived - two went to an answering machine and the third to someone who spoke no English and I unfortunately only have a few words of Spanish. We managed some communication however and the owner who did speeak English arrived quickly and settled us in so it wasn't a big problem.

The hotel of choice in Villafranca. Everything there was perfect. Marvellous location, really quiet area. Fairly quiet and absolutely fantastic unit with a cosy decor. Good sleep in an exceptionally comfortable bed.

The hotel we stayed in during our city break was excellent. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the location was perfect for us to explore the local area. We were able to easily visit the nearby national park and other attractions in the region. the hotel offered bicycles for hire, which we took advantage of, allowing us to discover even more of the beautiful countryside.

That the surrounding area lacked many options for eating out. While the hotel restaurant was excellent, it would have been nice to have more variety nearby.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a medieval town in Spain. The hotel's location, close to both the town center and a beautiful national park, was perfect for exploring the area. The staff was friendly, providing helpful information about nearby attractions. Additionally, the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices to start the day off right.

We loved this hotel! The room was spacious and spotless, with great Wi-Fi. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The dinner was amazing with homemade dishes served with a smile. Breakfast was plentiful and good value. We appreciated the hotel's proximity to Bardenas Reales Natural Park, which offered incredible desert landscapes and rock formations to explore.

Nothing not to love.

We spent a lovely few nights in a charming and characterful hotel. the location was just right, with plenty to keep us entertained nearby. We particularly enjoyed exploring the nearby national parks and the ancient cathedral in the square. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the facilities we needed. the service was excellent and the breakfast provided was delicious.

We did find the village a bit confusing to navigate and getting to the hotel itself was slightly nerve-wracking, especially in a larger vehicle.
